Behind the Scenes Video!

I bet you were wondering what it was like to be on set with twelve sex bloggers and their suitcases full of outfits, weren’t you? Well, thankfully Audacia Ray brought her video camera. This behind the scenes video has almost eight minutes of footage, showing you what went into the prep for the 2009 Sex Bloggers Calendar. And if this isn’t enough, there’s one more video coming up – the second one will be released the week before the NYC launch party.

12 of New York City’s Top Bloggers Come Together For Fundraiser

Join us for the launch party and buy a copy of the NYC Sex Blogger 2009 Limited Edition Calendar on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6:30 pm – 9:30pm at The White Rabbit. The White Rabbit is located at 145 E. Houston Street, between Forsyth and Eldridge, in NYC. Meet the bloggers who made it happen, and ask really nicely and you might even get your calendar signed. While admission to our party is FREE and open to the public, there will be a cash bar (with Happy Hour prices till 9PM), raffle tickets and calendars to purchase so please come prepared with some green to show your support and join in the fun.

Twelve of New York City’s most dynamic literary and sex positive women, along with photographer Stacie Joy, and the sex blogging CommUNITY have collaborated to create the New York City SexBlogger 2009 Limited Edition calendar in order to support Sex Work Awareness. Sex Work Awareness is an organization that trains sex workers in media skills and educates the public about issues that affect people who work in the sex industry. 12 of NYC’s finest writers, sex educators, film makers, and ordinary women are determined to see the stigma associated with sex work and workers removed.

Included in the calendar are Audacia Ray, Desiree, Diva, Elizabeth Wood, Jamye Waxman, Lux Alptraum, Mariella Ella, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Riese, Sinclair Sexsmith, Tess Danesi, and Twanna A. Hines. See About the Pin Ups for a full biography of each calendar model.

NYC Sex Blogger Calendar gets International Attention

Yes, that’s correct folks, we have garnered some overseas attention from the German site, Lust & Mehr. That would be Lust and More to us English speaking types.

I recently twittered about losing one of my oldest friends. Janet had breast cancer in her 20’s. She managed to fight long and hard and with an unfailingly cheerful upbeat attitude that made me admire her even more. Finally, after nearly thirty years of on and off again remissions, cancer attacked her brain. So today when I return from Florida, it will be to my dear friend’s memorial service. I will miss you, Janet. When I think of you, it will be your will to survive, the way you always smiled through the pain and refused to concede that comes to mind. And all our silly teenage adventures.

Unbelievably, October 1st has arrived and with it the last day for you to buy days on our calendar.
